Typical Cats

Typical Cats

When an angsty jazz band jumps four aspiring rappers in an alleyway, you get Typical Cats. Gone are the pulsating bass-lines and blipping synths of today's rap music; instead, each of their songs incorporate a looped jazz piano line over a hip-hop drum beat - and the results are undeniably cool. The members of typical cats aren't you're typical rappers, as their style is feels more like slam poetry (see "Qwelloquiallisms) and as if they are freestyling. These cats will undoubtedly make you purr. Meeow. From http://theministryofsong.blogspot.com
